Employer Specific Fall Protection Training

If your company employs workers who use a fall protection system, you must ensure that they are adequately trained in the use of that system, and given adequate oral and written instructions. This is required by law (under O. Reg. 213/91, s. 26.2) in addition to the completion of an approved Working at Heights course. Employer-specific fall protection may include, but is not limited to;

• Safe work procedures

• Equipment demonstrations

• Review of manufacturer’s instructions

• Instructions on engineered drawings

• Rescue procedures

Employer-specific training will vary depending upon the types of work that you do. Safety First can assist with developing an employer-specific training program that fits your needs. If you require assistance, please speak with your consultant or contact our office at 905-669-5444.
